lyrics
In a satellite city
Join and hang your head
Wrists break on twisted bolts
Machines half made of flesh
Sullen bodies run on empty
Wrapped in leather skin
Nodes to your brain and veins
And straight back to the grid
See the light through the city's bones
All together and all alone
See the light through the city's bones
All together and all alone
Copper rhizomes scatter
On the walls and overhead
Rickshaw carts fill the streets
And runners drip with sweat
Micro labor eats away at eyes
With endless nights on shift
Fractured hands and swollen feet
On the night road adrift
Last week again it happened
The sky rained with glass
Offices lay torn to shreds
And Guards were beaten back
Scratched shields with spit and blood
In lines of blue and grey
Stacked trucks with lifeless forms
Soon in one single grave
I've sampled some of this band's older material, but this is even better. Here, the band sounds much more comfortable and natural, the vocals, guitar melodies, production, etc. - everything is on point. Well worth checking out if you like "dark punk" or whatever the kids are calling it these days. patient_ot
Dark, frigid post-punk with an emphasis on the punk. Jesus, this is good stuff. Lyrically, this band certainly isn't afraid of tackling some seriously heavy subject matter. Musically, imagine a tightly wound melding of Gang of Four and Hot Snakes with a healthy dose of nervous speed and gothic overtones. If any of those things sounds kinda neat to ya, you'd snatch up some tapes while ya can. At the very least, purchase some digitals, ya leech. waughtron666
